This self-raising flour is milled from whole organic Australian wheat grain, with added leavening agents. As this flour contains the bran of the wheat it has a slightly coarser texture and nuttier flavour than plain self-raising flour. This flour can be used in any recipe that calls for self-raising flour including cakes, muffins, cookies and puddings. Bear in mind that wholemeal flour absorbs more liquid than white flour, so be sure to add extra liquid in recipes that do not specifically call for wholegrain flour.
